Life Coaching at Harley Street, London

Originally, Life Coaching stemmed from the sports industry, where a sports trainer/coach would help athletes achieve and excel in their sports performance. The sport’s coach and athlete would work closely together to achieve the athlete’s goals within a specified time frame. Coaching, thus is a collaborative process in which a coach helps individuals or groups identify and achieve personal or professional goals. It involves guidance, support, and feedback to foster growth, self-awareness, and skill development. Unlike mentoring or therapy, Coaching focuses on setting clear goals, creating actionable plans, and empowering clients to take responsibility for their progress and outcomes. It is future-oriented and often designed to improve performance, decision-making, and life satisfaction by tapping into the client’s potential. Coaching is action-driven. Coaching enables clients to use their authority to decide what is best for them, the pace needed to achieve the set goals and the areas to focus on.

Over time, sports coaching principles and techniques have also been successfully applied in other areas of Life, such as career, relationships, dating, health, etc. Therefore, it is not very surprising that the life Coaching industry has risen phenomenally in recent decades.

Differences between Life Coaching and Psychotherapy

Unlike therapy, which often focuses on healing past traumas or mental health issues, life coaching is future-oriented, concentrating on where a person is now and would like to be. It involves providing guidance, encouragement, and accountability to support clients in navigating challenges, making decisions, and improving various areas of their lives. Life coaching is action-driven, where goals must be achieved within a specific time frame.

Life Coaching can roughly be divided into the following areas:

  • Business/Executive Coaching
  • Mindset/Transformational Coaching
  • Health & Fitness Coaching
  • Personal Coaching (Relationship, dating, pre-marriage, family, finances, parenting, communication, career, divorce, spirituality, personal development etc)

Currently, at Ramsahai Wellbeing, we mainly provide Personal Coaching

How Life Coaching Works

After an initial introduction call, we will discover the area(s) you want to focus on or improve, or you might have just one particular goal you would like to achieve, for example, finding a romantic partner. Together, we will design a plan for achieving your goals, a time frame in which you want to reach the set goal (at your pace), and the necessary actions to be taken. We will also have figured out which coaching package will suit you best, as you can choose between six sessions, three months, or six months. Our meetings can be a mixture of online and or in-person sessions in Central London, which will last one hour. Between the coaching sessions, we will also provide you with some ‘homework’ to further assist you in achieving or excelling your goal(s) in time. Besides the regular meetings of one hour, you will also have frequent check-ins with your coach to assist with any further issues that might arise for you.
